A Brief Introduction To Counselling

Counselling offers a confidential safe space where I will accept you for who you are. Through the therapeutic relationship we build between us, I will support you as we work together towards your goals. At present, I am offering online therapy via zoom, this offers the convenience of no travelling and safe working during COVID restrictions.

I offer both long and short-term therapy, your choice can depend on a combination of factors, including issues you are bringing and what you are hoping to gain.

The first session

Is an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have. It allows you time to sense if I am someone you would like to work with, and also allows me to be comfortable that I can support you with what you are bringing, for example:

  • Gain greater self-awareness, self-compassion and acceptance

  • Complete any unfinished business

  • Explore new choices available to you

  • Set appropriate boundaries.

There will be regular opportunities for us to review how your therapy is going. Endings are an important part of the process, so we will plan together for an ending that is supportive for you.

I enjoy sharing journeys with people from different, similar or no faith backgrounds. I have experiences of being in therapy myself, which have helped me work through struggles in my own life.
